About Saving Grace Ministries

In 1992 Hurricane Andrew struck Homestead, Florida with massive devastation. Like many churches and other ministries we desired to help those affected by the storm. After contacting two Fundamental Churches in South Miami and Homestead our team headed south where they worked to help clear, rebuild, pass out meals and spread the Gospel of God's love and compassion with many souls saved as a result.

Missionary Bobby Smith is full-time serving this ministry. He states that large scale disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, may require many months of work, while smaller ones may require only a few weeks. He states, "What others call disasters are really God's opportunity for people to turn to the One who controls the storms." A great illustration of this is the Tornado that struck Enterprise, Alabama in March 2007. Doors that had been knocked on without success by a local church just weeks prior to the tornado  were blown open by a mighty wind and eleven souls were saved as a result.

Saving Grace Ministries operates through Fundamental Churches in, or close to, disaster sites. SGM provides the knowledge and often the equipment for local congregations to be able to assist their neighbors. Information concerning those who have been counseled are passed on to these churches for follow up and inclusion into their ministries.

Expenses for operating a disaster relief service are high. Once a disaster strikes it requires immediate expenses in gas, vehicles, food, personal items, lodging and more. Repairs to equipment, the ministry tent and re-purchasing items are ongoing expenses. Yet it is through this ministry that hundreds of lives have been saved from the everlasting disaster of hell.
