Greensburg, Kansas Tornado

Greensburg, Kansas was struck by an F5 Tornado with winds greater than 200 miles per hour. This tornado was about 2 miles wide and may have been on the ground for up to 100 miles according to the National Weather Sservice. Ninety five percent of the town was completely destroyed.

The Saving Grace Ministries Team arrived within days of the event and immediately began assisting in clean-up, personal needs distribution and sharing the Gospel. As a result many souls were saved.

The following are pictures of the tornado damage and assistance provided by Saving Grace.

Bulldozer and other equipment were donated to the team for clean-up purposes.

This volunteer came from New York with large dump trucks and assisted in heavy debris removal.

Lighthhouse Baptist Church is about 30 miles from Greensburg and sustained severe wind damage.  Pastor Smith still came to Greensburg to provide assistance.
